The Rotary District 9110 Welcomes the Rotary International President to Nigeria on Thursday 2nd September, 2021.
The event was graced by several dignitaries ranging from the Doyen of Past DGs, Rotarians, Rotaractors and other Invited guests.
The RI President in his speech Explained how overwhelmed he was. He emphasized on the need for every club to work on increasing their membership strength by adopting the Line “Each One bring one, do more”.
After his address speech, the District Rotaract Representative Ayodeji Sobowale was recognized to preside the Rotaract session with Rotary International President, Shekhar Mehta.
The Changemaker DRR shared update on the state of Rotaract District especially membership that has increased by over 32 in two months and also mentioned that the Rotaractors that have introduced new members to join Rotaract are also invited in-person to this session with RI President.
Immediately after the DRR short address, he called on the District Rotaract Representative-Elect and the Immediate Past District Rotaract Representative to join him on the stage for gift presentation to the Rotary International President and spouse, Shekhar and Rashi Mehta.
Also, the hard copy of July and August newsletters were presented to him to know more about activities of the District in the first two months of the Rotary year. The Changemaker DRR also urged the R I President Shekhar Mehta to position the gifts in a conspicuous location and put the newsletter in his archive to keep a significant and refreshing memory of his time in Nigeria, specifically District 9110.
The session ended with general photograph session of the Rotary International President and spouse, Changemaker District Governor and spouse, Changemaker District Rotaract Representative and all Rotaractors present.
