ROTARACT DISTRICT 9110 Rotarians For Family Health & Aids Prevention, INC (RFHA) REPORT

Rotaractors of Rotaract District 9110 ably led by Constance Fifekemi Jaiyeola participated in the just concluded 3 Days Rotarians For Family Health & Aids Prevention, INC (RFHA) held all over Nigeria, Rotaract District 9110 Rotaractors choosed Oke Aje Market Ijebu Ode Ogun State as her project venue for people in Ijebu Ogun state should be able to benefit from the project.

Oke Aje market is a very popular and populated market in Ijebu Ode, after meeting with the Iya Oloja, we were given space for the project and was warmly welcomed by the marketers.

The program started on the 31st day of October 2019, where Lagos based Rotaractors embarked on a journey to Ijebu ode, on getting to Ijebu ode, members of Rotaract Club of Ijebu Ode, Ijebu Ife, Ogscohtech and other nearby clubs under the leadership of ADRR Salisu Aliu (Alomah) made necessary preparations on the project site.

On the 1st day of the project, Over 75 People were been screened on Malaria, HIV, and over 50 Adults were screened on Sugar test , and were been given necessary drugs and materials,
On the 2nd day of the project we had in attendance volunteers from AIDS PREVENTION INITIATIVES IN NIGERIA PUBLIC HEALTH (APINPH) participating in the project in testing people on Aids, over 50 people were screened on their 1st day of arrival and were all reported Negative.
On the last day of the project same activities was been carried out by both organizations, all together over 200 people were been screened on Malaria, the positive one’s were been given drugs and we’re been counselled, Sanitary towels were been given to young ladies and they were also counselled.
In conclusion, Mosquito nets of 150 was distributed for the 3days and sanitary towels of about 228 was also distributed.

It was a fulfilling project for all Rotaractors under the leadership of Constance Fifekemi Jaiyeola.

Thanks to all that in one way or the other participated in the success of the project and our profound gratitude to all members of Rotarians For Family Health & Aids Prevention, INC (RFHA) for giving us the opportunity to participate in the program.
