Rotary greetings highly esteemed Rotaractors
With each passing day hepatitis is becoming increasingly dangerous, currently over 26 million Nigerians are living with hepatitis, with a global burden of about 325 million, more devastating is the fact that 9 out of 10 people don’t even know they are living with this condition. It is to this end that the Rotaract District 9110 through her medical team has deemed it fit to design a program to ensure that all our members are protected against this condition.
Our goal is very simple, we want to ensure all our Rotaractors are screened and vaccinated against hepatitis, for the purpose of emphasis, all our Rotaractors.
This project is dear to us because human life is dear to us, but more importantly the lives of Rotaractors is dear to us because they are people who sacrifice their time to give hope to the people in the society, just a single Rotaractor has the capacity to put big smiles on the faces of 20 people in the society, so for us the life of that person must be protected at all cost.
The hepatitis screening will be done completely free for our members while the vaccine will be given at a highly subsidized rate of #2, 000 per dose, each person is to take 3 doses( 0 day, 1 month and 6 months), the implication is that each person is to pay #6,000 in total. You are expected to pay either using the two installments model( #4,000 initially and a balance of #2,000 before the 3rd dose) or pay the #6,000 outright. It has been designed this way because the first two doses is taken one month apart so it’s better to make payment for both at once to allow for better logistics and smooth documentation. Be rest assured that whether you pay #4,000 or the outright #6,000 it will be captured against your name.
Upon payment to the District Account, send evidence of payment to your club president who would then send to the Zonal representative for further action. Clubs are allowed to extend this gesture to members of their community, intending Rotaractors and other people who may be interested, however it is expected that evidence of payment shall be routed through the club president as that name will be captured under that particular club.
Account Name: Rotaract District 9110 Nigeria
Account Number: 2003585094
Bank: First bank of Nigeria
The program has been fully decentralized to ensure maximum participation, screening and vaccination will take place across designated centres across 12 zones of our District to ensure ease and comfort, details of the centres and respective dates shall reach everyone in due time, anyone who tests positive after screening will be referred to an appropriate health centre for proper management and will receive a refund of his or her vaccination fee.
The program shall kick off in September across the 12 Zones, first dose in September, second dose in October and third dose in February, hence we are encouraged to start making payment from now, deadline for the initial #4,000 is 21st August 2020, however you can pay the outright #6,000.
Once again my warmest assurance in our mission to protect the health of all our Rotaractors, aggressive follow up has been instituted across the Club, Zonal and District levels to ensure we give our best in ensuring maximum participation, your health remains my utmost concern, continue to follow our health facts, this month we are focusing on Hepatitis, watch out for our health facts for other months too.
With regards.
