PREPARATORY MONTH
Every new morning gives new hope, fresh energy and an opportunity to do more. The new Rotary year begins today world wide and as volunteers in service, it is an opportunity to exercise the aforementioned key elements (hope and energy) that shapes human lives on daily basis.
I am pleased to welcome all into the new Rotary calendar and we must ensure Rotary indeed connects the world. As an embodiment of Rotary International, connecting Rotary to the world requires, of course contributing to change the world but as Rotaractors of District 9110, it is pertinent to state that connecting Rotary begins with you and I.
Beyond delivering service projects, conscious effort to improve the image of Rotaract locally requires vantage positioning of the good deeds of Rotaract members, mental and social awareness that Rotaractors are ambassadors of the organization with unique characters and professionalism capable of connecting new partners (within and outside Rotary family) to better our communities and the larger extent impacts the world.
The month of July as first month is a preparatory month for the administrative mechanism, tidying up the processes of individual and team goals towards a successful year. In other words, avails time to properly acquaint members with up-to-date Rotary process and legislations through trainings.
The Rotary International President Mark Daniel Maloney has charged us to put emphasis into two areas, both at the Club and the District levels; membership and participation in The Rotary Foundation. Personally, I am excited seeing couple of Clubs raised around 500 Dollars to support the Foundation and will be looking forward to see more participation of Rotaract members and friends in the District’s Million Dollar Challenge by donating as little as #2,000 or equivalent of $5 and as individual Rotaractor your $25 to TRF will go a long way.
As I bring this note to a close, permit me to call your attention to a number of activities of schedule in July month and therefore urging for support towards achieving goals.
I am excited for this opportunity to serve this wonderful Rotary year in prospect and wishing all Happy New Rotary year 2019-2020.
