177 PARTICIPANTS GRADUATED FROM ROTARACT 3-MONTH VOCATIONAL PROJECT; EMPOWERS 14 BEST TRAINEES TO COMMEMORATE ROTARY DAY OF SERVICE

The graduation ceremony of 177 certified vocational skills trainees was held 24th February, 2022 at Rotary Centre Ladoke Akintola GRA, Ikeja, Lagos State.

The vocational project was in partnership with Lagos State Agency for Mass Education in which 3 Vocational Training Centers were released for Rotaract District to train people in 6 different vocations; Catering, Fashion Design, Hairdressing, Makeover, Cosmetology and Digital skills.

Also, in commemoration of Rotary Day of Service, Rotaract District Partnered with Rotary District to empower some of the trainees who emerged best in their respective skills.

Some of the equipment include; laptop, gas burners, sewing machines, make up box, hand dryers.

At the graduation event, in attendance were the District Governor Remi Bello, District Governor-Elect Omotunde Lawson, Permanent Secretary- SA to the Lagos State Governor Mr Waheed Kasali, The Director, Agency for Mass Education Mrs Kemi Kalesanwo, The Youth Service Chairman PAG Saheed Rasheed, Members, Council of District 9110 DRRs, Rotarians and Rotaractors.

The District Governor Remi Bello applauded the project initiative and spearheaded the presentation of the certificates and equipment to the best trainees while the Permanent Secretary, SA to the Governor on Education and the Director, Agency for Mass Education appreciated the Rotaract and Rotary for aligning with THEME Agenda of Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwoolu to impact communities.
